Credit and Collections Manager
The Credit and Collections Manager oversees the credit granting process. Their main duties include assessing potential customers’ creditworthiness, conducting reviews of existing customers and collecting outstanding accounts. The credit manager works with the sales and management teams to keep them informed on the status of the accounts. The credit and accounts receivable departments work together to analyze accounts and policy. Strategic thinking, planning, integrity, passion, and teamwork skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Implementing and reviewing the company’s credit and collection policies and procedures
- Setting credit limits and terms for customers based on their financial situation
- Managing and overseeing the collection of outstanding debts from clients and customers
- Conducting credit checks on potential new customers
- Communicating with customers regarding their accounts and any overdue payments
- Preparing reports on the status of credit and collections for upper management
- Working closely with the sales team to assess creditworthiness of new clients
- Negotiate repayment plans with customers when necessary
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws regarding collections and credit practices
- Manage and collect debts
- Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
- Backing up credit department and accounts receivable.
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Regularly review of processes for improvements and enhancements
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Credit and Collections Manager or similar role
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques
- Familiarity with all relevant legal requirements
- BS degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong ability to interpret client needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Ability to use software programs such as DMSI, Excel, Word, Outlook, and other sales tools, etc.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Exceptional customer service & strong listening skills.
- Team player and positive attitude towards customers and co-workers.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
