In 1987, Lane started working for Roofers Mart in the warehouse. Originally from Shiloh, Illinois, he is been married to his wife, Sandy, for 30 years and has two adult children: a son, Michael, and a daughter, Sarah. Lane is interested in WWII history and is a fan of hockey and baseball.
